Funeral Catering by Room Forty
Losing someone you love is possibly hardest time of your life, and its also a time where there are also so many decisions to make. At Room Forty our aim is to try and reduce your stress and make your refreshments a celebration of life, filled with love.
Every morsel is made just for you to your tastes and requirements - we'll even make their favourite cake or pie and really personalise the experience.
With the world being what it is, we're flexible to make it available to your guests as a full service sit down afternoon tea on beautiful vintage crockery, or a simple freshly baked large scone with jam and clotted cream in a box that guests can pick up and take home or picnic with.
As such we don't have an actual funeral menu, but we do have some options that others have done that may inspire you, starting at just £3.50 per person.
Whatever you decide it will be done with style, quality and a layer of love that you simply don't get from a big company.
Just ask. It's never too much trouble.
"A sad occasion made into a beautiful remembrance. .. a wonderful array of beautiful cakes and sandwiches all home baked... amazing!
We hired Room Forty to provide a buffet following our mother's funeral. The service was fantastic and the food was just right. It was the little things, the attention to detail. Special requests were incorporated without fuss and Jen even made what our family fondly call 'Suzie Nanna cake' (Manor House Cake) as a special memory."
Jen from Room Forty was great at helping me to organise my father's wake. It was a difficult time for us and she made the experience stress free particularly given we were uncertain about numbers. Knowing it was all under control was very reassuring.
On the day Room Forty provided excellent service, crockery and linens and the sandwiches cakes and scones were all lovely. A special mention for the sausage rolls, tea loaf and not too sweet chocolate cakes. Guests were very complimentary about everything and the best thing is I know dad would have loved it all.
We wanted a beautiful afternoon tea for my Mum's funeral and after reading the reviews we contacted Jen at Room Forty. From our first telephone conversation we knew she understood what we wanted and she didn't disappoint. We were catering for 125 people which wasn't a problem. The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious and the service superb. Everyone commented how lovely it was, with many people leaving with cakes & scones to enjoy at home.
Thank you Jen and all your team for giving Mum the party she deserved. Our only disappointment was our lovely Mum wasn't there to enjoy it. She would have loved it!
Room forty did the most wonderful job catering for my beloved Grandma's wake. We received so many wonderful comments about how perfect the food was, I could not sing Jenny's praises any higher. As a family she made the celebration of my Grandma's life a happy one; filled with tea brewed to perfection, quiches that I am still dreaming of and service fit for a Queen. Thank you again for all your hard work and effort.
