Bread Making Classes with Room Forty
Learning to bake bread is on the bucket list of almost everyone we come across, so you will be pleased to know that our classes for individuals, families or corporate groups make it fun and enjoyable to learn. We have several classes to choose from, depending on your skill level and we can build a bespoke class for you. Whilst we recommend you start at the beginners class and develop from there, it isn't unheard of for someone to start on Italian Breads and then do the beginners, and they have just as much success.
We use several venues to hold our classes including Lymm Parish Hall, Suga Kuchen in Altrincham, JD Kitchens in Warrington, Weaverham 1st Sea Scouts hut, The Olive tree community centre, Penketh and more....but can also run this half day course in your own home or workplace, ask for details.
We also do children's baking parties. See more on our kids baking party page!

"Loved the Italian bread making course. A really fun and informative session suitable for all abilities. We made two different - but equally delicious - breads, and they smelled so good it’s frankly a miracle I resisted eating any of them on the drive home. Mitch and Jen are patient, charismatic teachers, who really know what they’re talking about. Thoroughly recommended either for yourself or an unusual gift".
"I've just done the second of Room Forty's bread making class and it was just brill! We made foccacia, cheese and walnut bread and had a masterclass in brioche which I can't wait to try out on the family. The whole morning was great, a really nice bunch of class mates and superb, expert tuition every step of the way. Great fun and what a lovely team of people. Really excellent, thank you"

Our breakfast bread class has been so popular that we've decided to add a 'brunch' themed class. We'll take you through a few countries, starting in the USA with delicious bagels, quite different to the stodge you buy in the supermarket, with a journey through the Mediterranean with an adaptable flatbread, with tasty interlude in the middle for our break time.
It's almost impossible to buy real bagels locally (no, those 'authentic' bagels in the supermarket aren't authentic at all). But there's no need to buy as we'll teach you!
Our beautiful bagels have the perfect taste, texture and chew. Delicious on their own, or maybe top them with cream cheese and smoked salmon. These are a winner.
Our Asian flatbreads are a real winner too. Quick and easy, we'll show you a couple of ways with them to cook them in a pan. Soft, lovely and simply delicious - perfect for mopping up a curry! Perfect with anything!
As ever, no previous skills are necessary, but we would recommend the beginners class so you know all the basics first.

"A massive Thank you for a brilliant Bread baking course tonight
My daughter Anna absolutely loved it and Mitch and Jenny really looked after her.
The course was excellent and I think even someone as useless as me could have done it with the instructions being really clear but also fun.
I am pretty sure we will be back soon as she is already looking for the next one to do.
The bread and iced buns are AMAZING
Also special thanks to the lovely group that also made Anna feel welcome. An Excellent evening THANK YOU"
"The last group baking lesson I had was at school 30 years ago so I wasn’t quite sure what the workshop would be like when I booked it as my husband’s birthday present. It turned out to be a great evening with a lovely group of people (thank you to Anna, Jack, Judith, Clare and George for being great fellow bakers).
We’ve been inspired to try out some new recipes instead of sticking to our old favourites and we came away with some delicious bread and sticky buns. John has already been asking what other workshops you do so I suspect we will be baking with you again before too long!"
"Another fab class- the tiger bread and iced bun class. Obviously couldn't wait to get home before sampling"
