Bread making for beginners
You have all heard the stories about shop bought bread - the vast quantities of yeast, hidden sugar and salt, and those e-numbers to keep it 'fresh' for a week.

We have several venues including Lymm Parish Hall, JD Kitchens, Gorsey Lane, Grappenhall Heyes Walled Garden, Rainford Village Hall and The Hilltop at Mossley Hill Church, Liverpool but can also run this half day course in your own home or workplace, a great team builder or family activity - ask for details.
Suitable for guests aged 12 upwards. Gift vouchers available.
Baking for beginners times vary, but generally 5.15/ 5.45 – 8.30pm

"I attended the first Bread Making course in March, run by Room Forty. We learned how to make a white loaf, brown loaf, pizza dough and a soda bread. The course was very informal & relaxed, with no need to have any previous experience of bread making.
My family loved the loaves I took home and have requested home made bread most weekends ever since! I've since made all the different types but my favourite has to be the soda bread as there's no need to wait for the dough to prove and can be prepared in about 20 mins. So very quickly you can have the wonderful smell of freshly baked bread.
I've been using whatever I have in my cupboard so have made cranberry, pumpkin & sunflower seed soda bread and date & walnut soda bread too.
It's a great course for beginners & I would definitely recommend it."
